Here at theFashionSpot, we are STILL buzzing from the excitement over the fashion festivities the first Monday in May bestowed upon us. The 2024 Met Gala is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
Should you need reminding: ahead of the opening of the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the stars took to the iconic New York landmark and opened up the archives of a whole multitude of fashion houses, to awaken some truly spectacular fashion, in honor of “The Garden of Time” dress code. Now, following the release of theFashionSpot’s worst-dressed list, it’s not time to applaud the winners of the best-dressed.
From Gigi Hadid in a custom Thom Browne corset dress embroidered with over two million (yes, seriously) white micro bugle beads and Nicole Kidman requesting Balenciaga’s Demna revive an original Cristóbal Balenciaga design from 1951 that she spotted in a Richard Avedon photograph to Kendall Jenner showing up (and showing out) in a 1999 Alexander McQueen for Givenchy gown (never worn by a single person and not allowed to be altered in any way) and Eiza González embodying the theme with an effortless ease wearing a “peeling orchid” Del Core gown draped in layers of silk organza – here’s theFashionSpot’s ultimate best-dressed list from the 2024 Met Gala:
