Glenda Bailey didn’t exactly have the best track record on our forums over the years. So when Samira Nasr took over Harper’s Bazaar, we were eager to see what she had in store. But recent covers featuring Sarah Paulson, Liya Kebede and Awkwafina flopped. The mag’s March 2021 issue sees Megan Thee Stallion making her debut as a Bazaar cover star. Photographed by Collier Schorr, the American rapper poses before an orange backdrop wearing Chanel for cover one (below) and dons Saint Laurent on cover two (after the jump).
Needless to say, neither cover made a good impression on our forum members. “Both covers are terrible. I’ve never seen Megan look so boring,” commented gunsnroses.
“Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse,” liberty33r1b chimed in.
“The makeup, or lack thereof, made her look really washed out here. The expression also looks like she’s exhausted. Disappointing, they could’ve done so much with her,” voiced Marc10.

“Collier Schorr is so awful and dire. I will never understand how she has a career in fashion photography. Megan is a beautiful woman, but in these pictures every ounce of life is sucked out of her…” proclaimed mepps.
RedSmokeRise shared the same sentiment: “They’ve managed to suck all the life and fun out of her persona!”
“I’m underwhelmed and I blame Collier Schorr,” declared mikel.
“It’s certainly proving to be a case of ‘better the devil you know’ in terms of what Glenda Bailey once gave us at Harper’s Bazaar because Samira Nasr has been a major disappointment from the very start. Not even a cover under her full control is breaking new ground…” wrote vogue28.
