The glitzy event marks 30 years of helping raise funds for aids research, with last year’s event raising a staggering $17 Million. Naturally, such an event calls for the A-list of the A-list to be in attendance and there was zero shortage of glitz, glamour and show-stopping fashion moments as the attendees walked the red carpet.

It was sheer madness at the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala last night in Cap d’Antibes, France. With so much skin on display on the red carpet at the Cannes International Film Festival, we weren’t really surprised to see that trend continue at the gala. We were a bit taken aback, however, at the amount of short dresses attendees sported. Fancy embroidery and extensive embellishments also reigned supreme. Net-a-Porter has tapped the world’s most stylish and influential women for its latest issue of The EDIT, looking to frequent FROW-sitters Poppy Delevingne, Laura Bailey, Chloe Norgaard, Nicole Warne and Julia Restoin Roitfeld for the cover.

The party of five make up “The Style Council” for Net-a-Porter’s fully shoppable social media app The Net Set, which has today lifted its invitation-only access and opened to the public.

As part of their cover role, the girls share their thoughts on social media in fashion. Australian fashion blogger Nicole, who has also landed covers for ELLE Australia, Lucky and Renegade Collective, said, “For me, it was like breathing. You draw so much inspiration from the content you find online.”

She continued, “In fact, the first thing I do when I wake up is check all of my social-media channels. It’s very addictive. It makes you accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world, and you get to share a part of your life.”

Poppy also spilled on the power her sister, Cara Delevingne, received when she got on top of the Instagram leaderboard. “Believe it or not, there was a time when Cara and I had the same amount of social-media followers. When we were on vacation together, we went to bed one night and the next day it had imploded,” she explained.

“She had all these followers and suddenly I saw the power of it and where it took her. She was this megastar, with social media her weapon of choice.”

Julia Restoin Roitfeld is putting her own special touch on the children’s book Pat the Bunny for the tome’s 75th anniversary. Roitfeld has designed a limited-edition range with Bonpoint, aden + anais and Charlotte Olympia, in conjunction with her lifestyle blog Romy & The Bunnies. 

Roitfeld has created a 14-piece range for moms and babies that includes shoes, swaddlers, sweaters, rompers and more. The pieces are, of course, decorated with Pat the Bunny imagery and illustrations, our favorite piece being the bunny-shaped sandals. 

The collection is set to hit stores March 21 and will be available at Harrods, Bonpoint, aden + anais and Charlotte Olympia. Check out a few pieces from the collection below and try not to explode from the cuteness.

Julia Restoin Roitfeld can now add “director” to her list of achievements. The stylist and model was tapped by Stuart Weitzman to do a short film spotlighting the brand’s latest offerings. Rock Roll Ride, inspired by Playboy magazine spreads and 60s TV special effects, stars Dylan Penn and Poppy Delevingne. The models twirl their hair and thumb through magazines topless until they venture out to explore the countryside in thigh-high Weitzman boots. 

Rock Roll Ride is a film of firsts for both Julia and the label. This is Julia’s debut directorial role and Weitzman’s first time tapping a female in this capacity. The new director seems over the moon about her latest project with the brand. “As a creative director, I think secretly I always wanted to direct a movie,” she said in a statement. “When Stuart Weitzman approached me to direct their fourth short film, I immediately said yes because I’m obsessed with shoes.”

Cult Australian jewellery label Maniamania has just announced that French-born, New York-based model Julia Restoin Roitfeld is the new face of its latest fall campaign dubbed “Obscura.” Shot by Bjorn looss with a set designed by Anna Karlin, the shoot for the new season takes inspiration from the 1977 horror film, Suspiria.

The video by Hendrix & Belle debuted exclusively on Style.com, with just over a minute of Julia’s borderline-creepy performance. Although the short was inspired by Suspiria, her dark, vampire-like lips, wet locks and disconnected movements reminds us a little of our favourite supernatural 90s film, The Craft.

Julia joins the other big-name faces that this beloved label has secured, including Abbey Lee Kershaw and Bambi Northwood-Blyth, who both have that special bewitching aura Maniamania craves.

We can tell the daughter of former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld is pretty chuffed about fronting the campaign having posted a couple of images to her Instagram already, describing one shot as her “best #dontmesswithme face.”
