You can now shop with a new delivery service called Loop which is tackling the waste problem. The circular shopping platform which includes Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Danone, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Mondelez International and UPS has been conceived to eliminate the idea of packaging waste, improve product experience and shopping convenience. Good things all round.
In Loop’s reusable and returnable system, the attractive specially designed eco-friendly packaging doesn’t become waste after a single use – it is cleaned, sanitised, refilled, reused and recycled.
Pantene, Tide, Cascade, Gillette, Ariel, Always, Febreze, Oral B, Venus and Pampers will be part of Loop. Dove, Axe, Degree, REN Clean Skincare, Hellmann’s, Love Beauty and Planet, Love Home and Planet and Seventh Generation will also be available on the platform.
How: Consumers subscribe and order products. The order is delivered by UPS in a special shipping tote (no box). Once the products are used, customers put their empties back in the tote and arrange a free pick-up. The system ensures products are automatically replenished.
The greens: Single-use disposable packaging is replaced with durable, reusable packaging made from materials like glass, alloys and engineered plastics. The entire system has been conceived to be zero waste.
